Four DNDLT Schools Recognised Nationally for Outcomes for Disadvantaged Pupils

We are incredibly proud to share that four schools within the DND Learning Trust have been recognised nationally for their strong attainment outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.

Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School, Northern Saints Church of England Academy, St Aidan’s Church of England Primary School and St John’s Church of England Academy have each received formal recognition from the Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson MP, Secretary of State for Education, for the exceptional outcomes achieved by disadvantaged pupils at the end of the 2024/25 academic year.

In a letter sent to headteachers, the Secretary of State congratulated schools whose performance places them among the very best nationally. The letter recognises not only the outcomes achieved, but also the ambition, commitment and dedication of staff and pupils alike.

The Secretary of State highlighted the vital role that high-quality education plays in improving life chances for all children, noting that these achievements demonstrate what is possible when schools maintain a relentless focus on equity and excellence. Schools were also encouraged to continue sharing effective practice and to lead the way as system leaders, supporting collaboration and raising standards across the wider sector.

This recognition is a powerful affirmation of the work taking place every day across our trust to ensure that all pupils are supported to flourish academically, socially and personally. As our motto is, “Every child matters and no child is ever left behind.”

We would like to congratulate our schools. Your commitment to serving your communities and improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils reflects the very best of our vision and values.
